That six-figure salary for a crime analyst at YPD had City Council asking a lot of questions. Council may have gotten its questions answered, but we haven't. Action News wanted to know where a crime analyst on the books for 110-thousand dollars fits into a city that's 3-million dollars in the hole.

Most criminal cases rely on the evidence stored in the police property room. Everything from murder weapons to stolen stereos, line the shelves there. So, the person in charge of that evidence has a huge responsibility. Today, Action news received documents from an anonymous source claiming Yakima's property room manager had taken items from the shelves.
