Next week people in Prosser will find out if the school district is building a new high school. If you take a drive around town you'll quickly see signs for and against the issue, which is rare for a school bond.

The Port of Benton is tapping into Washington's multi-billion dollar wine industry again. Action News discovered Prosser's vintner's village is about to double in size. It means more tourists, more jobs, more tax base for our region.

A Pasco family is home Thursday after surviving an avalanche. They were headed over Snoqualmie Pass Wednesday afternoon when a wall of snow crashed on top of them. Action News spent some time with the family. They are still shaken up from their ordeal but thankful they're okay.

Gang bangers, sex offenders, crooks -- once they're out of jail it's up to a Department of Corrections officer to keep tabs on them to keep your family safe. Action News is checking up on a new change in Prosser. DOC reshuffled staff and put an officer right in the Prosser police station.

The Action News Crime Tracker is keeping tabs on what's happening in Prosser. Crime stats are out for 2010 and violent crime fell 14%. When you look at non-violent crime, the numbers are up nearly 16% compared to the previous year.

The new charges for Linda Lusk will stick.  A judge's ruling Monday allows the former Prosser mayor to face two additional charges for sex crimes. Action News also got a hold of the court documents detailing exactly what Lusk admits to, and denies that she did.
