KIMA dug up the numbers to see how much security there was when it came to school resource officers and security guards. Yakima, Toppenish and Sunnyside had the highest numbers. Union Gap, East Valley and Zillah had the least.

Congested parking around the Eisenhower High School construction work has resurfaced. Action News first told you about it weeks ago and Yakima cracked down on the blocked driveways and mailboxes.

Signs are up and the tow trucks moved in on a clogged neighborhood. Yakima is going after illegal parking around the Eisenhower High School construction site. Neighbors were fed up with drivers who blocked their driveways and their mail delivery.

A day at the park here in Yakima could expose you to contamination. KIMA learned dirt used to renovate part of Kiwanis park contains arsenic and lead and must be removed. It also turns out the dirt came from Eisenhower High School.

The city of Yakima announced Fisher Park Golf Course plans to open Friday. The course opening is right on schedule; it's typically open from late March until mid October.

Taking action on traffic congestion near schools. It's a problem that's been going on for years at older campuses here in Yakima. There isn't enough space for parents picking up and dropping off their children.

It was a sight that may have shocked many drivers in Yakima today. Students told us they wanted to line every street corner to push for bond votes, and they did cover a lot of ground.

Donations are down from local businesses so folks at Eisenhower High School are trying something new to raise money for the senior grad party.

It's a nickname no principal could be proud of: "Dropout Factory," a school where no more than 60 percent of the students make it to their senior year. That dubious distinction applies to 22 schools in our state.
